Is PlanetWisdom for middle school or high school students?

Both! Most of our conferences are made up of about 60% high school and 40% middle school students. While we welcome anyone in your group to attend, our content is written for participants at a middle school age & older, and may not be appropriate for younger participants.

Can I volunteer at PlanetWisdom?

Yes! PlanetWisdom cannot run without volunteers! Come be a part of the PW team for the weekend and assist with load in, registration, product sales, ushering, setting up, or tearing down. Some positions are open to older students and all are perfect for college-age students, parents, and your adult volunteers. If you are interested, head over to our Volunteers page to check out the openings and see where you and your team might be able to join ours for each weekend.

Will lunch be served on Saturday?

The lunch break on Saturday is about an hour and a half. The event does not serve lunch, however, some venues may offer a lunch for pre-purchase that can be eaten on-site. If no lunch is available for purchase on-site, groups typically go to a restaurant offsite for lunch. Check the “Event Details” portion of the city page for more information. Your group is welcome to bring packed lunches and eat outside the venue.

What does it mean to "lock in" a ticket price?

When you purchase 10 or more tickets at a Super Early Bird or Early Bird ticket rate, your price for purchasing additional tickets remains at that rate until the time of the event or until the event is sold out, whichever comes first.

Can I buy tickets at the door?

As long as the event is not sold out, you can purchase tickets at the door for $64 each. We accept cash, checks, and credit cards at the door.

Do you have a list of hotels in the area?

We have secured special pricing with a nearby hotel. You can find this information posted on each city’s information page. 

What is the ticket/event cancellation policy?

All payments made to Youth Specialties – PlanetWisdom are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend the PlanetWisdom event you registered for, you may transfer your registration to a different group or to a different PlanetWisdom location for the current PlanetWisdom season. If you need to cancel the registration, all payments made are non-refundable. If forces beyond our control interrupt the PlanetWisdom event, your registration will be refunded less a pro-rated share of all costs incurred. Can our group reserve seats?

The sanctuary/auditorium doors will open at 6:30pm on Friday night. At that point, you may come in and reserve seats for your group. The seats you have on Friday night are the seats you’ll have for Saturday. Download a Reserved Seating Sign here. If your group is volunteering with the event, you’ll get first choice reserved seating up front. See the Volunteers page for details.

How do I receive the tickets I purchased?

We don’t send out any paper tickets. Once you arrive at the event you will check your group in using your organization name or confirmation number found in your confirmation email that you received at the time of registration.

What's your weather cancellation policy?

In the rare incident that weather or other act of nature prevents our ability to present PlanetWisdom, we will make every effort possible to reschedule the event, and your registration will be transferred to the rescheduled event. If we are unable to reschedule, we will provide a refund to your group or apply any funds paid toward future events.

How do I know if the event is sold out?

If you’re wondering whether or not tickets are still available for a PlanetWisdom event, go to that city’s page and look at the pricing area. We’ll have “Register” buttons there if tickets are still available. If the event is sold out, the pricing area will say “SOLD OUT.”

I bought more tickets than we will use. What can I do?

If you have more tickets than you will actually need, you can post on the PlanetWisdom Facebook page and try to sell them to another church. It’ll be your responsibility to call us and let us know who to switch the tickets over to. Otherwise, at the event you’ll need to pick up all the tickets you paid for, and deliver the extras to the church you’re selling them to.

Another option is to gift the extra tickets to a church that is in need of additional tickets at the event.

What is the worship like at PlanetWisdom?

How does on-site check-in work at the event?

The doors open for leaders to get their check-in completed at 5:30pm in each city. At that time, you will make any necessary final payments, receive your conference journals and wristbands, and then be able to go and reserve seats for your group. Final payments can be made with a church check or with a credit card.

How many adults should I bring?

We would suggest a minimum ratio of 1:6 to help you best interact with your students.

What is included in our registration cost?

Your registration price covers the cost of the event and includes a PlanetWisdom journal for each attendee. It does not include meals or hotels. Once we have details available you’ll be able to reserve rooms at a discounted rate at our preferred PlanetWisdom partner hotel through the event page for your city.
