Mark Yaconelli

Mark Yaconelli is an author, storyteller, speaker and community activist. He’s the executive director of The Hearth: Real Stories by Regular Folks — a nonprofit that uses personal stories to build community, eradicate shame and address suffering. He helped to start many creative ministry projects, including the Center for Engaged Compassion at Claremont School of Theology. He’s the author of five books, including “The Gift of Hard Things: Finding Grace in Unexpected Places” and “Contemplative Youth Ministry: Practicing the Presence of Jesus.”
