Andrew Root

Andrew Root, Ph.D., is the Carrie Olson Baalson associate professor of youth and family ministry at Luther Seminary. He’s most recently the author of “The Grace of Dogs” and “Faith Formation in a Secular Age.” He’s also written “Bonhoeffer as Youth Worker” and a four-book series called A Theological Journey Through Youth Ministry. Andy has worked in congregations, parachurch ministries and social service programs. He lives in St. Paul, Minnesota, with his wife, Kara, their two children and their dog.
