YS Idea Lab - Tim Eldred: Student Ownership of Ministry

By Youth Specialties on April 01 2014

What would it look like for students to own their own youth ministry? Tim Eldred offers some inspiring and challenging thoughts on the implications, risks, and rewards of seeking out students' gifts and interests and then empowering and allowing them to shape the ministry themselves.

Why would we not want to have this leadership in Uth Ministry?  I love a boss who allows me to fail and succeed.  Students love that too.  I have found the horizontal relationships trump the vertical relationship with God.  We are not meant to be alone.
Basic Uth Ministry I can do, but the dividends using what you talk about is transformation.  Keep up the good work Tim and may wisdom and understanding be your friend.

Tim you are AWESOME and funny. I love how you see students as co-labors in Christ (NOW not latter) always looking to what burden/calling God has placed on their hearts. I just posted a link back to this article on The Youth Culture Report http://theyouthculturereport.com/
